Michael Reddell examines: The Prime Minister – kindness, policy, and specific abuse

At Croaking Cassandra – economist Michael Reddell has this excellent post:

In the Canvas magazine supplement to Saturday’s Herald there was a brief interview with the Prime Minister that encapsulated well for me why she might be well-suited to being, say, Governor-General or some other empathetic public role, but also why she is unsuited to be Prime Minister.

This was a superb analysis and repays study.

Adam would add that he disagrees with Mr Reddell on some of his solutions, but agrees with the analysis

Ardern promotes kindness and empathy, she does not do concrete policy. Nor do most of the media require it. They are besotted, many of them, with the image.
