Christchurch Call: Freedom of Expression Online – a highly pertinent webinar

I have prefixed this post, Christchurch Call as the topic of this webinar from Purdue University is directly related to aspects of the Christchurch Call talkfest which will be led by Emmanuel Macron of France and Jacinda Ardern of New Zealand.

The webinar has input from people who know what they are talking about and who are not politicians nor tech company representatives.

As part of our Distinguished Speaker Series, Concord Law School at Purdue University Global is proud to present a multispeaker webinar to commemorate National Law Day on May 1, 2019. The theme of this year’s event is “Free Speech, Free Press, Free Society,” and this webinar is titled “Freedom of Expression Online: The Internet, Social Media, and Algorithms.” Concord Law School Dean Martin Pritikin will be joined by Chinmayi Arun, a fellow of the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, and Cindy Cohn, executive director of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and “one of 100 most influential lawyers in America” as named by The National Law Journal.

It would be too much to hope that someone at this event, the Christchurch Call, might have relevant knowledge as opposed to a vested interest.
