Teachers no longer to have performance appraised

So Hipkins capitulates to teachers unions, but some are still not satisfied.

One disturbing element emerges from the RNZ article, which frankly I find very concerning in quotes attributed to a teacher at Napier High School

Mr King said the news was welcomed by staff at his school and included a dance for joy after the announcement of appraisal being removed from their contracts.

In what other enterprise is performance not appraised.

This is a total failure by Hipkins, but it is consistent with this government’s attitude towards performance and monitoring generally, i.e. woeful

In the real world this would not be tolerated
