Wednesday Night is Mozart Night: Symphony No. 6 in F major, KV 43

For the moment I seem to have covered the major versions of Mahler’s symphonies, so from now we will have some Mozart on Wednesdays instead.

The symphony is set in 4 movements: 1. Allegro (0:00) 2. Andante (5:20) 3. Menuetto (10:53) 4. Allegro (13:12)

Composed in Autumn or December 1767 in Vienna and Olmütz (Olomouc). First performed in Brno on December 30, 1767.

Performers: The academy of ancient music, conducted by Christopher Hogwood.
