Does Corrections have a problem?

So does Corrections have a problem?

I ask this after coming across this item from RNZ, where claims that white supremacist Philip Arps sent letters allegedly advocating violence from prison.

This has come to light in the same week that it was revealed that the accused Christchurch shooter,Brenton Tarrant sent inflammatory letters whilst being held on remand.

This reminds me of a quote from Oscar Wilde’s – The Importance Of Being Earnest where Lady Bracknell says ‘ to lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune, to lose both looks like carelessness‘. Similarly one incident involving one prisoner might be a mistake, but two incidents both involving prisoners with extreme views looks at best careless and conceivably like a systemic problem.

However, that can’t be true because as Willie Jackson told us only yesterday Kelvin Davis is a superb Minister of Corrections. Hmm!Funny that.
