Donald Trump is trying to limit the fallout from Turkey’s military offensive in northern Syria.
The U.S. President is being widely accused of allowing the operation to happen by withdrawing troops from there.
Turkish air strikes on Kurdish forces began last week, quickly followed by troops on the ground.
The U.S. House of Representatives delivered a bipartisan rebuke by overwhelmingly opposing Trump’s pull-out.
Trump has sent both the Vice President and Secretary of State to Ankara to try and broker a ceasefire, but Turkey’s President insists he won’t back down.
Can a compromise be found?
