The Spectator: Douglas Murray and Lionel Shriver discuss Identity Politics


I have posted this before, but it seems very appropriate to re-post this discussion in the context of current events. The degree to which race and gender has become, it seems, more important than competence; plus other authoritarian aspects of our ’caring and kind’ society is frightening. You have only to look at the way some groups welcomed the Sussexes ‘interview’ with Oprah Winfrey. The bigotry and prejudice exhibited was astounding.
