C4 News: Myanmar’s military junta take control of ‘blood jade’ mines worth billions and ‘fuelling conflict’

The military takeover in Myanmar has given the Generals behind the coup full control over the country’s highly lucrative jade industry, blunting the threat of international sanctions. The Junta and other armed groups are thought to be making billions of pounds a year from the jade mines. The environmental and human rights group Global Witness says that since the coup, corruption in the jade industry has also fuelled a new wave of conflict. Our Foreign Affairs Correspondent Jonathan Miller reports.
