The September 18 rally in Washington, DC, held in support of those who attacked the Capitol on January 6 was a spectacular failure. Estimate of attendees ranged from “fewer than 100” (the New York Times) to approximately 400 – 450 (NPR). By any measure, the event – organized by former Trump aid Matt Braynard – was a complete flop. Here are two of the main takeaways from the fact that Matt Braynard threw an anti-American rally and practically nobody came.
