“Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.” Thomas Paine – "Limitation is essential to authority. A walk along the London Overground Railway Gospel Oak to Barking Line (GOBLIN) from Leytonstone to Barking. The walk starts by the railway bridge on Grove Green Road, Leytonstone outside the Heathcote and Star. From here we go past Leytonstone High Road Station then pass through the Wanstead Slip and visit the Wanstead Tap located in one of the railway arches. We cross Woodgrange Road, famous for its association with Jimi Hendrix at the Upper Cut Club, and head in Sebert Road. We cross a rainy Romford Road – once a Roman Road, and make our way through Manor Park and over the North Circular Road to Barking where the railway line terminates at Barking Station.
