Nobody quite expected the extent of the losses the Conservative party suffered at the two by-elections in the UK today. But tactical voting from voters (leaning towards the Labour party in Wakefield and the Liberal Democrats in Tiverton and Honiton) meant that the Tories were roundly defeated.
