Glenn Kirschner: Trump asserts he used DOJ/FBI to stop vote count in 2018 to help DeSantis become Florida governor

November 09,2022

In a remarkable assertion, Donald Trump posted that he sent US Attorneys and FBI agents to Florida to intervene in the vote count of the Florida gubernatorial election in 2018 to assist DeSantis in winning the election. Specifically, Trump posted, “Ron (DeSantis) was going down ten thousand votes a day . . . I sent in the FBI and the U.S. Attorneys, and the ballot theft immediately ended, just prior to them running out of the votes necessary to win. I stopped his election from being stolen.”

This video discusses the three possibilities regarding this Trump assertion, and what the Department of Justice must now do, given that Trump implicated the DOJ in election fraud.
