Joolz Guides: Borough Market: London’s Oldest Fruit & Veg Market
Another of these fun, quirky videos
One of the many reasons I like these videos is that he visits so many places I used to know years ago. It is incredibly nostalgic and fun.
Unfortunately I never got to the Borough Market, just wish I had
Borough Market is London’s Oldest fruit and veg market and on Joolz’s list of top things to do in London.
Joolz tries out the best sausage rolls in London, organic iced tea and even award winning English wine! London Bridge used to be the main gateway into London when there was only one bridge across the Thames so a market sprung up here.
Chaucer would have passed through on his way to Canterbury whilst writing the Canterbury Tales, as he set of from a pub nearby called The Tabard.
These days it’s a very popular place for Londoners and tourists alike to buy fresh produce which has all been ethically sourced.
There is even a Borough Market panel of judges who make sure that everything is up to standard because it’s run by a charity.
If you want a London guide where you meet the actual characters of London Joolz Guides is for you.
In Borough Market he introduces you to the stall holders as well as seeing where Bridget Jones lived.
