PBS NewsHour: Schiff’s full follow-up questions for Vindman and Williams | Trump impeachment hearings

20/11/2019

Rep. Adam Schiff, the chair of the House Intelligence Committee, asked follow-up questions to Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, an Army officer who works for the National Security Council, and Jennifer Williams, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence, on Nov. 19, in a public hearing as part of the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump. In rebuttals to Republican assertions, Schiff asked whether it was clear that President Donald Trump demanded Ukraine investigate the Bidens and the 2016 election, and that Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, was pushing for the same demands. Vindman and Williams both listened in on a July phone call in which Trump asked the president of Ukraine to investigate former vice president and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
