Jul 14, 2022 A fabulous informal recording featuring two greats of the clarinet – Darnel Howard and George Probert along with Bob Scobey, t; Jack Buck, tbn; Burt Bales, p; Clancy Hayes, bj; Squire Girsback, sb; Fred Higuera. There is a vocal trio probably Buck, Scobey and Hayes plus a Clancy solo. Thanks are due to the San Francisco Traditional Jazz Foundation who put out this CD on the superb GHB label to make these rare recordings available. Thanks are also due to those that shared their tapes and to Bryan Shaw for the amazing job done on remastering, Bill Carter, and Hal Smith who produced this CD and did so much work for the SFTJF. Enjoy this wonderful piece of traditional jazz history featuring a true jazz original along with the greats of the Jazz Revival.
