Undercurrent – an RNZ investigation into misinformation in Aotearoa by Susie Ferguson – #6/7: Hallmarks

This series has been heavily pushed by RNZ. Intriguingly it has appeared in the run up to this year’s election.

I have come to the conclusion this series has a bias and seeks to push a particular point of view.

Note at the start of the podcast we have some speech in Māori, this now appears to be obligatory for RNZ along with the use of Aotearoa instead of New Zealand.

This podcast presents one view, it seems to rely on work done by and perceptions from the Disinformation Project which several commentators regard as a tainted and inaccurate source of information.

There is misinformation in NZ, but do not forget that the Disinformation Project is distrusted by many and it’s methodologies and underlying ideology are the subject of critical concern.
